Beautiful vocal and native flute melodies, acoustic, electric guitars
along with traditional and contemporary rhythms, playing original
Native and Mexican/Latin American influenced music.
With a tasty blend of flavors, a splash of Funk, a pinch of Reggae, the
essence of World, a twist of country all mixed into a gelatinous Rock
base.
Spiced up with a live Dj “It’s a little “old school” mixed with “new
school” says band founder David A. Montour. The new sound is created
by blending an assortment of influences with their Indian and
Latin/Mexican heritage.  Montour says their sound is best described as
“modern Native” with a splash of funk, a twist of country and a pinch of
reggae all mixed into a gelatinous rock base.
Operation Peace, the title song, written by Juan “Cano” Sanchez
reflects the band’s effort to promote peace and harmony for all
listeners. When Clan/destine first formed in 1996 they quickly
developed a large fan base that spread across America and the world.
Enabling them to befriend and become familiar with an array of people.
Cano captures the essence of those experiences in the title track. The Cd
launches into grooving and danceable tunes that are sure to pack dance
floors everywhere.  Nobody There is one of the hybrid  tunes on the new
CD written by Montour, who calls the tune “reggae-tonk” because it’s
part reggae and part country honky-tonk.
The band features returning musicians Sanchez on lead vocals,
Chuck Harris on lead guitar, vocals and Montour on bass, vocals, and
flute. New to the mix adding the Mexican/Latin American influences is
Mike De La Torre on drums, percussion, vocals. Matt Vaiza on the
turntables as well percussion, flute and
vocals.  Also new to the team Rachel Villa adding a great Vocal talent
the group.
